Russell Brand Nixed Katy Perry-John Mayer Hookup!

Apparently John Mayer doesn't always get the girl. Thank goodness.
As if Katy Perry and Russell Brand weren't awesome enough, the zany British comic apparently rescued her from J-Mayer's clutches at the last second!
According to E! News, John and Katy were well on their way to sexy coupledom when Russell intercepted her at the 2009 VMAs and snagged KP for himself.

As celebrity love triangles go, this one worked out for the best.

It was love at first sight at the awards show. But just one night earlier, Perry and the douchebag met in person after weeks of trading flirty tweets and texts.
"They'd never met in person, and she went to meet him there after she was at a Jay-Z concert at Madison Square Garden," a source close to Mayer reports.
"John thought she was so hot and fun and was into her," the insider says. "They were flirty and all over each other at the bar, they really liked each other."
"They were dancing and it was on."
They stayed at the bar until late, leaving only moments apart from the downtown bar, conveniently just around the corner from Mayer's love nest. Gag.
The next day, which happened to be the VMAs, the two traded more flirty texts. But before their relationship could blossom any further, enter Brand.
As luck would have it, Russell, who was hosting the awards, was instantly taken by the "Teenage Dream" singer, openly admiring her from the stage.
She was equally smitten. The rest is history.

Happy 32nd Birthday, Clay Aiken!

He's an American Idol finalist, a father, a former Broadway star and, now, a 32-year old man.
Indeed, Clay Aiken celebrates a birthday today, as Claymates around the world are likely sending their favorite artist a slew of best wishes as we type this. We encourage readers to do the same.
After all, we're talking about one of the most humble, charitable artists around, one who spent the summer promoting the release of his fifth studio album and touring with Ruben Studdard. Aiken seems like a very nice guy and we hope he's having a terrific day!

Amber Portwood Welcomes Home Baby Leah!

Amber Portwood and her baby Leah have reunited.
The two-year-old was under Indiana's control (as in the State of Indiana) after a very turbulent period, but officials returned her to the Teen Mom star Monday.
"Leah is moving into Amber's new home, where Amber had her daughter’s bedroom all set up," a source says. "Amber is so excited to have Leah back!"

LEAH'S HOME: Mother and daughter are together once again.

Just last week, we learned that Leah became a ward of the state, meaning decisions over where she lives falls to a judge and a government agency.
Portwood and ex-fiance Gary Shirley had earlier agreed that Leah was better off living with him for the time being. Child Protective Services agreed.
"It was safer for her to stay at Gary's because of all the photographers outside my house," Amber Portwood, who lives in Anderson, Ind., explained.
The star, who's battling serious anger issues, said living without Leah was "the lowest of the low. Every night she's been saying, 'Where's Mommy?'"
On November 18, Portwood was charged by Anderson police for attacking Shirley in front of Leah; she is faced with two felony battery charges.
Now she says she's picking up what's left of her life - or at least trying:
"I'm trying to put the pieces back together," she said. "I have to get better so when I get my baby back, she sees her mom as happy as can be."

Report: Kate Gosselin Has No Friends

Despite having multiple reality shows and eight cute kids, Kate Gosselin, is a sad and lonely individual with no friends, according to a new report.
Yup, we can totally see that.
A source close to the celeb mom says that despite what she wants you to think, "The truth is Kate is very sad and lonely with few true friends."

When she's not watching over her kids or filming Kate Plus 8, the perfectionist is seen wasting money on tanning, getting her nails done or visiting NYC salons.
Moreover, she has a dedicated routine routine of grueling jogs to relieve stress and keep herself in tip-top condition, but even that's coming at a heavy price.
"Even her kids have noticed that their mom is sometimes too tired to play with them when the cameras are not rolling," the Gosselin family source said.
Her only confidant? Steve Neild.
"Her bodyguard, Steve Neild is the closest person to her, but he's married with two kids of his own," the source said. "Steve lives in the basement of her home and accompanies Kate everywhere, but they deny there is anything going on."
They always have, and they're likely isn't anything romantic, but regardless, Neild is about all she's got when it comes to adult, personal relationships.
"Apart from Steve she does not have many friends to confide in or just go out with ... she does not have the best relationship with her family either."
Even locals in the neighborhood have become judgmental.
"She is not popular at the local stores, post office or car wash ... she cannot win people over and comes across as cold and aloof," the source said.
Pretty much. Jon Gosselin knows it all too well.
"Kate finds it hard to be friendly towards people and is very domineering - she is pre-occupied with looking her best and keeping-up appearances."
It's true, she does her best to make it seem like she's got the family thing under control. Sadly, making the kids eat rotten food doesn't qualify.

NeNe Leakes on Marital Woes: Pray for Me!!!

As viewers of this week's Real Housewives of Atlanta are aware, NeNe Leakes is facing serious marital difficulties with husband Gregg. That's what happens when your man is a backstabber, as detailed in this THG review.
Now, in a blog post titled "The Breaking Point," Leakes updates fans on the status of her relationship with Gregg. Spoiler alert: things aren't going well...

Gregg and I have held it together for years, but my breaking point has come. I’m one hell of a woman, and I am nobody’s fool. When the person you love and trust betrays you, it has got to be one of the worst feelings. Having that moment with Gregg was so much bigger than you saw. I was really hurting!

Gregg is a good guy, but that doesn’t mean Gregg is a good husband. All I can say is, I’m tired! Only I know what I’ve been through! My happiness and independence means everything to me, and I want to follow my heart, but I’m scared! I’m taking baby steps, but I hope I’ve been brave enough for all the women that couldn’t! I hope I was able to show my children what a strong woman looks like and stands for! I will only accept loyalty and trust! My happiness is everything to me!
